Push N’ Probe TM S.P.I. (Safety Pipe Index)

Keeping the Push N’ Probe near your stored firearm is a constant reminder to perform ammo checks when going back and forth from dry fire practicing, to actually carrying for protection. But checking for a loaded weapon isn’t the only concern. Whether you carry with a round chambered or not, you do not want to forget to remove a laser from the barrel before you carry for protection.

How To Use Your Multi-Purpose Push N’ Probe S.P.I. (Safety Pipe Index)

Use #1 Ammo Probe: Rather than inserting your finger into the “bear trap” of an open breach to probe for ammo in the barrel, use the Push N’ Probe instead. While holding the gun in one hand with the slide locked back, and holding the straight end of the Push N’ Probe in the other hand, probe the barrel with the “dog-legged” end of the Push N’ Probe. The Push N’ Probe can reach where your fingers can’t.

Use #2 Laser Extractor: After dry fire practice with your laser, use the Push N’ Probe to push the laser back out of the barrel. Lock the slide back, cup one hand under the empty mag well, and slowly insert the straight end of the Push N’ Probe TM into the end of the barrel until resistance is felt. Slowly and gently push against the tip of the laser until it drops through the mag-well into your hand.

Use #3 The Safety Pipe Index: The Push N’ Probe will indicate the shortest Laser Ammo Safety Pipe that you can use without applying an extension to the pipe. Using the shortest pipe possible reduces or eliminates the length of pipe extending beyond the Safety Nut, and can simplify assembly and disassembly when compared to using an extension.

With the Laser Ammo laser in the barrel, and the breach closed, gently push the straight end of the Push N’ Probe into the barrel until you feel it touch the tip of the laser. Now, the lowest index groove from the straight end of the Push N’ Probe that you can still see, and that the tip of the barrel is closest to, indicates the shortest Safety Pipe you can use without applying an extension.

First Index (compact length Safety Pipe), Second Index (short length Safety Pipe), Third Index (long length Safety Pipe)
